America calls Springfield, MO home for the great outdoors, country music, & as a vacation destination for millions of visitors annually.  Naturally, all roads lead to "Queen City of the Ozarks" and we’re known as the "Birthplace of Route 66".  The great outdoors is celebrated in the Ozarks with people visiting for some of the best fishing, hunting, boating, and camping in the USA.  Of course, the number one attraction in Springfield, MO is the original Bass Pro Shops which started here in 1971.  In November 2001, Wonders of Wildlife Museum opened next to Bass Pro and after major renovation is now the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. W.O.W. has the world’s largest aquarium attraction spanning 350,000 square feet and more than 1.5 miles of trail that entertains and educates each of our visitors. Country music is home in the Ozarks.  The first national country music show “Ozarks Jubilee” started on ABC TV live from Springfield starting in 1955.  KTTS Radio continues that heritage serving our communities and in 2018, KTTS was recognized by the Country Music Association with “Station of the Year,” by the Academy of Country Music with “Station of the Year”, and for Community Service by The National Association of Broadcasters with a “Crystal Award”.
