As President at SummitMedia Omaha, Mark A. Halverson brings over 25 years of experience in station management, with a strong background in professional sales.
Halverson launched his career in Broadcasting at the age of 23, as an on-air talent, eventually moving to Sales and then Management. His career has also encompassed multiple leadership positions at the following companies: Salem Communications, Jacor Communications, GoRadio, Palmer, Triad Broadcasting, and Journal Broadcast Group in Omaha, which became Scripps Media in June 2014.
A believer in community and professional leadership, Halverson currently serves as a trustee with the Omaha Business Ethics Alliance. He has served as Chairman of the Iowa and Nebraska Broadcasters Associations, and the Des Moines Metro Broadcasters Association.
Halverson holds an NAB Executive Development Certification from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in Washington, D.C.
He has attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Sociology from Iowa State University.
