SummitMedia VP of Digital

SummitMedia is seeking a Vice President of Digital Strategy to prioritize, evolve, and own its overall digital consumer engagement strategy. In this role, you will articulate a digital vision for the company, prioritize digital initiatives into a comprehensive roadmap, communicate best practices, and conduct strategic reviews for potential new initiatives. This position will lead a Digital Consumer Engagement (“DCE”) team to deploy and maximize smart digital investments that improve and expand our product experience, driving unique visitors, collect data, and create an endless flow of customers for our advertisers.


· Served as leader of the DCE, driving strategy and product development lifecycle across digital, web, and mobile product portfolios

· Drive and execute the strategic vision for the Digital Consumer Engagement team

· Enhance overall consumer engagement and audience growth

· Design, manage and implement a consumer data acquisition strategy

· Partner with programming and sales on acquisition strategies across all channels

· Research, evaluate, and identify alternative approaches, and efficiencies for challenging problems

· Develop strategic insights employing consumer data and competitive research

· Build and evolve prioritization roadmap for digital initiatives

· Create a 3-year collaborative roadmap for DCE utilizing cross-functional teams comprised of corporate leadership, programming, and sales in multi-markets

· Lead strategic projects related to potential new digital initiatives

· Collaborate with and engage critical partners across digital teams to manage strategic priorities

· Accelerate revenue growth for digital properties in partnership with Programming and Sales

· Help build materials for internal and external partners

· Refine existing capabilities and build best-in-class data reporting

· Support leadership on special projects, as needed

Key Competencies Include

· Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a media-related field

· Strategist and leader with strong intuition

· Strong product sense and understanding a variety of consumer types

· Experience managing sophisticated and ambiguous projects

· First-principles thinking around business performance, revenue generation, and overall competitive landscape

· An understanding of consumer-facing media businesses, with emphasis on the digital components

· Outstanding written and verbal skills

· Data-driven approach to problem-solving

· Ability to create processes and systems

· Ability to collaborate across teams, form relationships, and influence key partners

· Strong project leadership

· High EQ, low ego, and collaborative

· Manage multiple priorities across teams and functions
