SummitMedia Birmingham Gives Back for the Holidays

SummitMedia Birmingham has been busy blessing Central Alabama!

Those blessings kicked off with Family Dinner Night at a local Culvers that helped raise $5,000 to Toys for Tots with 106.9 The Eagle, 104.7 WZZK, 610 WAGG and 97.3 Play. Family Dinner night was followed by the ‘Tis the Season 12 Hour toy drive that packed 4 Humvees and a moving truck full of toys for the Marine’s Toys for Tots! The final mission was WZZK’s “Operation Bike” that raised hundreds of bikes over the course of a 3 day weekend as Craig Allen lived in a lift 30’ in the air.

Next up was Kiss and Jamz as they hosted “Toyz in da Hood” and the “Kiss Angels” toy collection drives. These drives span across a two week period at local stores raising enough toys for over 400 kids in the area including the local Boys and Girls club. On top of their toy drives, both 95.7 and 98.7 gave a donation worth over $2,000 to a local family who lost both parents to Covid-19. Additionally, Kiss held a “Day of Giving” for a local food pantry that filled a van full of non perishable items to help feed the hungry this holiday.

Way to go Birmingham! Keep being a blessing!!
